Poll - How should 'Paru' oophaga sylvatica be managed ?

I have not missed any of the points , nor have I missed the jabs , be they direct as with Chris calling me a dick or somewhat more indirect as with your opening jab here. Reread what I said Richard, I did not call you a dick I said you can be a dick.. Judging by the emails, pms, and messages I'm no...

Have you tried separating them? Got any pics of the two?

'Paru' Oophaga sylvatica - PICS !

Do you have any aggression issues? -Byron When the two females were together they had a couple wrestling matches but nothing super aggressive. After seeing the second match and picking up a male a microcosm I separated the two into pairs and have had no issues since. I have two males together in a ...

'Paru' Oophaga sylvatica - PICS !

Is there something new, beside pics you would like to add? Yes, they look crazy-different. (subjective...) I open to listening, if it's new . If there is nothing new to add, then I patiently await the results of the studies being run and I await the review. Contrary to some froggers' beliefs, I don...

'Paru' Oophaga sylvatica - PICS !

Hey Byron, I have one pair in a 40 gallon column that I originally started the trio in, and the second pair in a 18x18x24 exo. Here is shots of both vivs with the camera phone (I can take some better shots with the SLR tonight). http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/21/a8usuvup.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com...

Which is totally fine, but it doesn't dissuade from the fact these are some awesome frogs and this thread is for photos of them. Your opinion has been stated and discussed on the poll you started about how Paru should be kept. You have very loudly explained you don't want to further discuss how they...

'Paru' Oophaga sylvatica - PICS !

As far as I am personally concerned, until we read the studies on these frogs I think we have all pretty much exhausted most all the speculation possible. When in doubt, I'll take a peer reviewed paper on these guys, for sure. How about we stop speculating and just enjoy the myriad of colorful frog...

Re: Poll - How should 'Paru' oophaga sylvatica be managed ?

Chris, could you please explain what a muddy frog would look like then? Or better yet, a dull and intermediate frog? Your three pictured all have similar lita netting and netting undertones . That's a good thing in my book. I'd gladly trade for the light colored female you have for either of the tw...

OMG, one day and you pull the crickets ploy? I'd have hoped to go more in depth, but since you want it NOW... A few things before I pass out from the plague I have been fighting off for a week; 1.Please show me three frogs bred together that are actually the same phenotype, please. And post differe...

Re: Poll - How should 'Paru' oophaga sylvatica be managed ?

Crickets huh... All this talk about different Paru Phenotype being kept separate so as to prevent "muddy" frogs. Of the first three only one looks remotely similar to the adults in both color and undertone.. If breeding "like to like" still creates huge variability among offsprin...

Re: Poll - How should 'Paru' oophaga sylvatica be managed ?

So I thought I would post an update of the offspring my Paru have produced so far. I now have two pairs being kept separate based on their phenotypical characteristics. The first round of offspring came from the group of two females and the "orange" male before I obtained a second male tha...

Input on 'Paru' - pics

Rich, this is just my opinion but the two frogs you've posted do not look muddy to me. All of the Paru I have seen in person (7) have a varying degree of black to them. The two you've pictured just seem to have a much higher amount. How about giving us some information on the frogs you've pictured. ...
