Re: Initial Frog Problem Questionnaire Template

One thing that might be considered is, what has changed recently. Like unseasonably hot or cold spells, have the frogs been moved recently, had another frog been added to an existing group, etc.

Re: Birmingham, Alabama Foggers?

I did manage to find a frogger on FB who is not on the forums, and he happens to be a keeper at the Birmingham Zoo. Well have to do something about making darts more prevalent in this part of AL. I wish I could have made it to Bert's place before he passed. I fondly remember an article from Reptiles...

Birmingham, Alabama Foggers?

Hey guys and gals, I'm moving to Birmingham this week and I was just wondering if there were any other froggers in the area.

Re: Facebook log-in through Dart Den !

I just tried using this method to log in on my Android phone. I got an error message on Facebbok. It said this app is not set up, the app.is still in development mode.
I tried from My PC too and got the same message.

Re: Puck Light, tiny UVB vivarium helper !

Wow 115 degrees F is scary high. I don't want to throw that heat in a viv in Florida, it's hot enough here already. If that temperature forces a frog to have limited exposure to UVB because it can only stand the heat for a few seconds, is it really an effective solution?

Re: UVB Light - its pros/ cons

ZG, that was my plan exactly. After researching UVB for darts I planned on using a 12" T5 Zoo Med 5.0 bulb on a 36x18x36 Exo-Terra. I plan to have the bulb on from 1 to 2 hours daily.

Re: UVB Light - its pros/ cons

Phil, I have similar but differing thoughts. My plan is to use a more traditional linear tube, probably Zoo Med 5.0 or Arcadia 6%, but only at 1/3 the length of the tank. I know the various broms, plants, landscape, wood etc, would filter out a lot of the UVB rays. Plus this is going to be a tall vi...

Re: UVB Light - its pros/ cons

Does anyone have any new info to add to this thread? I'm sure there is even more information out there on UVB now. This is a confusing topic. How much UVB is enough? How much is too much? What strength bulb gives you the proper amount of UVB? For me it will be guesswork for awhile as the $240 for a ...

Re: Keeping standing water in your false bottom is good!!!

I was visiting a local frogger yesterday and they told me they routinely let their false bottom partially flood some of the substrate before draining it off to an appropriate level. Sometimes the ground gets saturated in nature, as long as your plants roots don't rot, I don't see the harm. Any thoug...

I believe that they were split into either anthonyi or tricolor depending on which side of the Andes mountains the frog was from.

"Hybridizing”,Cross-breeding and Mixing Dart Frogs

And given time with proper guidance from the community, maybe Dillon would too. Maybe conversations could of taken place to help him decide to start small and grow from there. But no, the community ran him off, now he will do whatever he wants... I'm pretty sure he's going to do whatever Ricky want...

Re: "Hybridizing”,Cross-breeding and Mixing Dart Frogs

Rusty, I don't need to explain myself to any of you and some I have even done business with in the past but after your shitty comments I couldn't help it. These are my frogs that I have cared deeply for over the past several years. You don't know my situation and why I am choosing to part with them...
