Re: Tad's Front Arms won't pop...

Unfortunately I'm not liking the way that one looks. What species/locale is it again? The kinked tail and the body both look off and the length of time without morphing combined with how the legs look right now does not bode well for it. The only thing I would suggest is moving it to a little coole...

Re: coconut shell hut - moss ?

I placed my coco hut on top of a mat of java moss and it eventually climbed over and consumed the hut.

Re: Help me KILL it...

That was suggested to me a few times, but i did not try it. I removed the frogs and killed it with glutaraldehyde. I do not think I would recommend this to someone unfamiliar with the chemical though.

Re: Help me KILL it...

Well I have been reading that larger doses of cleated copper can kill it. Frogs aren't sensitive to copper are they?

I have been spraying it with H202 also which helps but its a SLOW process. I'm also wondering if a vampire crab would eat it???

Help me KILL it...

This is Aegagropila linnaei, AKA Cladophora. http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/542536_277410415691639_1461048635_n.jpg Underwater it is an awesome, green ball of goodness. It can also grow on wood. So I though, 'Hey, lets try this stuff emmersed in my vivarium!' BAD IDEA This is emmersed...

Yep! The last spawn was half on the manzanita branch and half on the filter intake.

Re: Shots from the Lab

Yeah, I may get some Angel Slate and see if they will spawn there. They usually spawn on my manzanita, so I cant remove the eggs.

LIGHTS: What Kelvin (color temp) are you using?

I have been playing around with different lighting and was wondering what Kelvin (color temp) people are using. So far my favorite has been 10,000k. It is a slightly bluer light that is normally used in reef tanks but it makes the greens in my tank glow. And since it simulates a filtered light, my g...

Re: Shots from the Lab

They are actually WC from Brazil. They resemble altums but they are scalare.

They spawn all the time but they eat the eggs within 2 days or so... bastards :)

Re: Centipedes ! How do I get rid of them ?

I pumped an EMPTY tank full of c02 and nuked a centipede problem I had. Of course I had to re seed the tank with springtails and isopods after, but it worked. The Co2 gave my plants, and the fungi, a nice little health boost as well. You can also use dry ice. I definitely would not use this method i...
