Which isopod is best to use ?

I'll throw in my two cents I am culturing dwarf white, cr purple, stiped/Hawaiian, oranges Also just got some calico, and giant cave isos. They all are profic after a few months. Agreed, the purples are my favorite. They seem to travel between cultures and have colonized a white, and striped iso cul...

WTB Female Basti

I am contemplating selling some of my f1 Bastis. I have been holding them back for a year now, no calling. While this doesn't mean confirmed female, I have been watching. Someone local was looking for a male, so I grew them for a year, and he bought one from someone else. There are two probable fema...

O. pumilio 'colon' isle lines ?

That's funny, before he said they were 'Bocas del Drago' from Europe. I'm thinking he may be FOS too. For what it is worth, Charles told me that he was working with 3 lines approx 6 mos ago. BDD's, Mimitimbis, and Villegas Nominat's... Can't be worth much. 6 months ago he also told me he would be a...

colon isle line ?

I'm in the same boat as you are. Got a male, no female. If they are what Charles claims, then we are both screwed. He is the only one (supposedly) to bring on that local, and they seem to be male heavy. So I hope he was lying so these guys will be easier to pair up. Here's a pic of mine. http://img....

Pristine Tropics - Salt Lake City Utah

While Chris may not have a store front, he is an invaluable asset to the local frogging community. I personally purchased my first frogs from him. This was about 2 1/2yrs ago. Since then he has answered numerous questions, and put me on the right track from the beginning (as far as mixing, flipping,...

What age/size is it OK to buy/sell froglets?

I personally have received retic froglets at a couple months, and they are fine. One calling now actually. I have also received tinc froglets at a week oow with no issues. Once again I think I comes down to listening to the local breeders in your area. But it is more important to heed this advice on...

Thought I'd Participate

I donated them because these damn frogs have taken over my life! Only partly joking. I had them in a 3'x8' pond in my fishroom, but the fishroom is slowly disappearing. I was unable to get them off of live food, so it was costly, as well as taking up space to breed feeders (mollies, convicts, black ...

Here are bad pics of drop off. To say they were upset would be an understatement. I believe being called out was a way to try and jump in line in front of me, or knock me off the list all together. That is why I have made the decision to quit lurking and contribute. You know, get my "street cred" up ;). I am lucky that a few locals with some clout will vouch for me.

Poll- "Frog Pedigree". How important to you ?

In other words, if you have some BJ froglets that are F4 from Frye line (exaggeration to make a point) and they are being sold by a known flipper w no regard to proper animal care, does that frog deserve the same pedigree that you would expect direct from the original breeder? I think not. Just anot...

Figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Gabe, I live in the Salt Lake Valley in the wonderful state of Utah. I have been fortunate to have local froggers to hold my hand, therefore never posted much. After being questioned and even called out over which frogs I keep or breed, I figured i...

Why do people Lurk ?

Totally agree. I have met more people in the last 2yrs. than I have in the previous 10. And I mean people that I consider friends. Coming from the fish hobby where 'flipping' is common place, and there is more emphasis on quantity not quality. I appreciate this hobby on many different levels. It has...

Why do people Lurk ?

I lurk, therefore I am..not At first I had nothing to say, so I read. Then I realized who some of the people giving advice were ( new people repeating what was told to them the previous week). Then I realized the cycle of 80% new members falling off or out within a few months. My excuse now? I have ...
