blue Oophaga pumilio "colubre" Nov 2013

You lie every moment you open your mouth, better keep apologizing. I was offered them, I declined, as did others. No jealously. A little sad that you'll just kill them in your garage or from lack of Chytrid treatment. But I'm certainly not jealous. I don't take Shawn's prepay money to pick out anyth...

Re: blue Oophaga pumilio "colubre" Nov 2013

Sidney, Right? I'm the one who conned people into buying frogs with false past histories? Claimed them to be from a zoo, when they were from SR. Sent a permit as my own, when it was someone else's, the list continues. Told people all sorts of lies every time I opened my mouth. I don't con people, ni...

Re: blue Oophaga pumilio "colubre"

Those frogs are WC!!! The locale was only discovered earlier in the year, not long enough to breed and produce to adults. Let's not fool ourselves here. They may be sent out as farm bred, but who knows what that definition actually means to Panama. Still, no idea why Sidney is allowed to post here u...

Re: Oophaga pumilio "colebrA"

I declined them. The price was too high...not for WC frogs that will still have die off, it's not worth the risk, especially because I'm sure more will come in, in the future. Someone else can take that risk. I'm actually not too happy this locale was collected by the people in Panama. It's a VERY s...

Re: Guápiles Oophaga pumilio ?

Rub marks from two things: 1.) USFWS decided not to show up and clear them on a Fri, and couldn't be cleared until Mon as they didn't answer their phones. The animals were in the Deli cups and got the rub marks in transit. 2.) They are raised in outdoor screened enclosures. I'm curious, how many WC ...

Re: Guápiles Oophaga pumilio ?

All CR blue jeans and black jeans are very similar IMO. Other than a TRUE locale GPS that you trust, I have no idea why one population would be any more desirable than another. Simply put, some are more red and more blue then others. The Guapiles are more vivid and clean looking then other Blue Jea...

Re: Guápiles Oophaga pumilio ?

Just so things don't get out of hand (I got a text regarding this), Simon is waiting for the next shipment of Guapiles to come in next month (Nov). Might be why he is waiting, BTW. He originally ordered some other frogs, he got refunded for those, and wanted the Guapiles instead coming in on the nex...

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

When moving into Florida from another state it's over $500.00 to register your car! the other thing to consider whenever you think about ANY business venture in the Sunny, Tropical land of Flow ride dah is that they make things easier to start up and create a business - even let ya go on income tax!...

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

This is not what they told me when I contacted them earlier this year about selling bromeliad offsets and cuttings. Now that I want to start selling potted plants they are requiring a permit. They also require a separate permit for growing aquatic plants. Anyways, if people have any questions a call...

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

That actually only applies when selling "potted" plants shipped/sold in soil. You can contact FL Agriculture for further questions. People selling brom offsets or cuttings in FL don't need to freak out. They actually have fairly clear regulations available online for those who want to go t...

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

They actually have fairly clear regulations available online for those who want to go through them.

As for a response, my correspondence had been limited with them over the years until recently, but they have been very helpful regarding a few permits/licenses I'm currently obtaining from them.

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

I'm curious about bean beetles. Would it be alright for people in FL to get arrested by state officials if they kept them in their house as feeders? Or should they be informed about the permit requirements to keep these insects in the state? How would the hobbyists here feel in those situations?

Re: Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

I likely have more state and federal permits here then anyone, so I make that statement based on what I've seen done to others around me who have not followed the rules. I've seen two situations come around from violations. 1.) Where the person is told about their violations and given a chance to fi...

Fort Myers Woman Cited for Trying to Sell Snakes

Kudos to FWC for seeking these people out to parade in front of the media? That's disgusting.

They could have cited her a warning and given her a chance to get her permits and do things legally. This was nothing more then a PR campaign.

Re: 2ndAnnual Reptile and Amphibian Law Symposium & Workshop

He actually replied on there that he didn't know selling hybrids was an issue, that he received these in trade (?) and that he would not sell any more in the future after he sold those. He's actually against the Chytrid testing requirement , FYI. And things like that are actually why he is an asset ...
