Re: Egg shells for Springtails and Isopods = Calcium

I put the egg shell in a coffee bean grinder and turn them into a very fine powder that I mix with other foods. Multi cereals for babies, corn, peas, rice, beans, lentils, fish flakes, spirulina flakes. My sprintails love it! No document to prove it but I would also say (as Phil) that it is a pretty...

Re: Some Dendrobates azureus pictures

Bonjour Jim ;) Nope, I don't have (yet) a picture of this very "unusual" terrarium hosting mostly different mosses. It is a quite unique type of terrarium, at least for me. Nothing like what I saw in Panama and Costa Rica. I should go back there in a few days, within the next two weeks I h...

Re: Best sex ratio to go with Azureus?

Just got back home from the Brussel day trip.
Hugly weather up there, lots of rain :(

I have three Azureus at home now, two F1 males and one F1 female.
All of them are from different couples.

Ranitomeya benedicta - First Clutch of Eggs !!

Hi, A few minutes ago I found my first Ranitomeya benedicta eggs. I have four of them together in a terrarium and two of them are forming an obvious couple. They have been spending the last few weeks in film canister. It was just a matter of time before she laid. I will try to take some pictures of ...

Re: Best sex ratio to go with Azureus?

This friend is a "big species" breeder.
Right now he has tons of Tinctorius for sell (very probably over a hundred of them, may be two hundred ... I will let you know tomorrow night) and some Azureus and Leucomelas.
I will have my camera with me, if We have time I will take some pics ;)

Hi Phil,

Thank you for your answer.
That's the information I was looking for, right on.
I will go for a 2.1 or a couple. I have to talk about it with my friend breeder.

Best sex ratio to go with Azureus?

Hi, Tomorrow I will be in Brussel (Belgium) visiting a breeder, a friend I have not seen for over 5 years. I will go there with a friend of mine who wants to get some D. azureus from him, they are F1 Azureus subadults. I never had any big species such as leucomelas, Auratus or Azureus but I was thin...

Re: Bedwell School Classroom Frog Exhibit

Hi,

Nice set up!
An old friend of mine has a quite large reef tank set up at Pratt (Brooklyn).
Students love to come and have a look at all those "unknown" critters.
Must be the same for your frogs ;)
