Re: "Buy a Culture - Split a Culture" saying....

Can't agree more! keep splitting them, don't let your cultures get too overcrowded! In my experience they seem to be more prone to crashing when you have that "sea of white" of springtails. Either feed them out or split the cultures. Another tip is to not keep all of your eggs in one baske...

Is a $25 donation too much for a sticker? $100 for a t-shirt? Let me know. Remember, the target audience will not necessarily be the dart frog hobby...

Tadpoles and plastics leaching

I've been using specimen (Urine) containers that come wrapped and sterile, seem to work fine for me. Not to big nor to small. Still, nowhere near close to 'food grade' plastic and not designed for tiny living and growing organisms. I personally, would not use those. Last time i checked HDPE ( high ...

Re: escudo imports 2012

The price/cost is also higher. No, the rate is not acceptable , if you want more frogs to survive. Yes, some people are finally over using the term; " if it aint broke, don't fix it..." Bottom line, if/when pums are $30 they die and are lost to the hobby. Alright good points... I was most...

Also sidney... If a responsible hobbiest bought those escudos for $350, you have to factor in the time for QT, medications, and multiple fecal tests. IMO i would rather spend the extra $ on healthy frogs

also, you'd like to see the 'rare' stuff be kinda $$ and go to the advanced hobbyists and thrive, breed and produce more froglets. But alas...you saw a bunch of 'less than advanced' hobbyists jump on the U.E Sylvaticus and I bet 70% of them are already dead. Sad but true... There is a line between ...
