Re: Understory Enterprises new web site.

I agree with Rudy, I'd like to know the price without having to ask. Makes "window shopping" easier [WINKING FACE].

Re: Vivarium Makeover

Philsuma: Yeah I thought I knew what I was doing haha. Dan1990: I've always used false bottoms, I like how they keep your soil elevated and away from water. Although if you don't add a bulkhead for drainage they can be annoying. I'll keep you guys posted on the construction! I'm now letting the peat...

Vivarium Makeover

So I've had a 29 gal Viv (my first Viv construction) set up for a year now. I never put any frogs in it because I didn't like the way it came out. I had just discovered the world of vivariums and ended up doing almost every beginner mistake. I added a waterfall (which broke/flooded everything), I di...

Re: Oh so many 'starting a viv questions'

Phew! Glad to hear it is not the weed block, okay. So would the high humidity/evaporation of the water that is under the false bottom not allow the substrate to dry at least a bit? I have a small drip wall/waterfall in the left corner so there is at least 2inches of water and 2inches of space in bet...

Re: Oh so many 'starting a viv questions'

Don't mean to hijack this post/forum but I think I might have problems with either too much humidity and or poor drainage. I have a 29 gallon vivarium, false bottom. The substrate is very moist almost on the wet side, I had a beautiful Rex begonia mold over and rot :/ Would the use of a weed block i...

Re: GE I and II Silicones - Differences ?

When I applied the silicone it smelled but nowhere near as bad as the aquarium safe silicone I used to fasten the false bottom. I currently have the tank airing out with a fan to help it along and the smell has gone down. The obvious would be "oh use the aquarium safe silicone" we'll the o...

Re: GE I and II Silicones - Differences ?

So I have finally decided to try and make a larger vivarium with a "GS" background. I have seen all the how-to videos on YouTube, read countless amounts of forums and I decided to "blackout" the inside walls of the Vivarium with black silicone so that the ugly great stuff is not ...
