Re: Daytona National Reptile breeders expo 2011 ?

Anyone else see someone tried to get Marcus into some shit for advertising wc for sale in his Daytona classifieds post? I didn't think it had really gotten to this point. Ive seen thousands of wc herps at the show over the years. But to start ratting out other breeders is getting to be an issue. Its...

Re: Some Soil / Substrate Terminology and ABG

100% clay substrate Ive tried, I did get broms to grow in the bottom of the viv but no better a micro fauna population than the ABG with Clay. I dont know how natural all clay is with comparison to whats down there but I would like to know. I would think for some of the highland locales or darts a s...

Re: Shipping rule #1 - Pictures !

I found it funny someone wanted it shut down before the seller could get a chance to speak up on it. I agree your rep is all you get in this hobby and if you screw it up or ignore the issues it never gets better for you. I posted the actual classifieds ad, don't know why it wasn't a link. I found it...

Re: Biggest Reptile / Frog show in the U.S ?

Yes but your talking about the #1 place that everything comes in too. If FL fails the hobby will crash., I would like to think that a central US show could take over and make it easy or atleast even for all to get to but it will never compete. I dont blame the media and congress for the FL crap, Its...

Re: Biggest Reptile / Frog show in the U.S ?

In time Id like to say IAD or Frog Day but now its Daytona unless the shit hits the fan this year. I dont see the point in avoiding the show because you may get asked a few questions by F&W, Ive had them in my house many times. If Daytona dies, it could be a huge hit to the hobby. Its a long tim...

Re: Shipping rule #1 - Pictures !

I wouldnt call it useless until this person either admits to or deny's how the frog were shipped. Maybe he man's up. That said I always video my packing and unpacking of herps. I also log the exact time they show up as Ive had people who say guaranteed only if signed for by 12 and the freaking box n...

Re: Some Soil / Substrate Terminology and ABG

Ive actually talked to Ron about the ABG mix and several others at ABG, I wouldnt call it the end all to the rest, A good start yes but I have had much better luck with it in viv for plants, and microfauna with nothing more than adding a portion or two of clay to it and mixing it up. I have tried a ...

Re: Proven, Probable ect as Breeding designation

I would call a sexed pair definitely a calling male and laying female. Probable needs to at least be verifiable through age and certainly at least a noticeable difference the body and overall stance of the frogs. Proven is the 100% laying of fertile eggs but to sell a proven pair it needs to be the ...

Re: North American businesses that can export frogs ?

I plan to give a step by step on what it took to get it all done, I went in blind, didn't know it costs to just apply. Probably should have asked Aaron or Sean about it first but I'm smart like that. I have an interest in this just from buy and trade approach. With myself and a few friends we can sp...

Re: North American businesses that can export frogs ?

I actually submitted for an import and export license just recently due to a severe need for a pair of frogs like Grahams latest. The amount of work involved wasnt too extreme but there may be issues as to where you can actually ship and receive. I have much more to read up on but I'm going to get i...
