Chris Teem's Collection sale

Postby Michael Lawrence » Sun Jan 22, 2012 1:13 pm

Yeah few could guess but he's actually sitting on enough frogs to pay everyone back. I have been in contact with him and when he alerted me to having this in his possession ................

st lamasi, bri bri, rio guaramo, man creek, cristobals, cobalts, and colons........................................

And when I suggested that we setup a collection sale which would be about the most respectfull thing he could do I started getting excuses. My idea, we have the frogs posted, we have all proceeds paypalled to a a neutral account where it can be sent to those who are owed.........Chris would then be responcible for shipping out to the buyers. Is it risky? Yes but I see no reason to continue bothering with him if its not done.

Why you ask, because I got a message from CHris asking me to help him secure the lamasi that Mike ''demonic'' has of his. So Chris can rip people off and owe thousands and still wants whats owed to him...........

Here are the replies I recieved as well as what I sent.........

From CHris 2 hrs ago: Can you do me a favor please and ask D3monic why he is selling my frogs that I paid for. I've sent him message after message about shipping but dates were never good for him or me. Then winter came. I really wanted those frogs for my collection and I've already paid for them too.

My reply: I will but you do understand if that comes out with you trying to
recover frogs you feel your are owed people are going to throw a fit
man. Have you thought about selling off your collection in order to
make right with everyone? It would cover most if not all debts and I
know it would be allowed as a public board sale if the money were
paypaled to those who are owed and you just ship the frogs.

There are people that wont stop until you pay off everyone and do it
publicly. If I were you I would consider this

His replies: I have offered my collection to people I still owe money to and weren't payed back from paypal. If d3monic won't ship me frogs have him send my money back.
I understand you thoughts. I would be happy to do it but then I'll be jumped on for selling stuff on the forums again.

This needs to end now or Chris needs to walk away and leave us alone. I have remained respectful to him the last few days and I made it clear I though he should be allowed to make right and remain on the boards as others have but when I find out hes sitting on those frogs and not doing anything its BS. I hope this clears up all confusion and makes it clear whats going on.

As long as we get CONFIRMATION of payments recieved from some of those people...Clare, Jake..whoever....then I consider this a big step to fixing things.

First big step? I didnt realize as long as paypal pays back those that were conned its the first step to Chris making right on all this. Does anyone else find it crazy as hell he would pop up within hours of a post demanding whats owed to him after what hes done to this hobby? I have to say in the other thread he asked who would send money for his frogs, Well I never said send it to him, I said send the money to a neutral account. Im sure there are dozens of new froggers willing to pay up for those frogs. Im beginning to think this entire subject being here was just to create hits and members again. I dont really role like that so Im out. Just remember while hes sitting around with those frogs all these months others have been missing their funds wondering if they will even get them. He still owes and whether you call it frog or brom money its still hobby related and I see a simple quick fix to people getting their cash..............

Paypal won't "front" any money to pay people back at this point.

I assume Chris is putting money into paypal to make good on the various paypal transactions....but again...I'll ask Chris himself via a post on his thread.

I dont know, paypal payments are protected. Whether Chris has given money to paypal or not they are responcible for paying people back. My only point is how do we even know if its Chris making right? He hasnt personally given up anything of his own.....For all we know his parents are putting funds in his bank. I dont want to think that but it sounds like we will never know and the BS is this situation could have been fixed months ago by him just giving up his own frogs........

So now I need to provide proof of how the money is getting into my account too so everyone knows it is from my paycheck and not my parents?

Im just saying that list of people that says refunded was back in august. Phil said that list was a start Im just saying it looks like paypal covered it then. Had you turned over you collection back then or anytime before I said something it may have shown a physical loss on your part due to paying it back........Did you pay paypal those return fees on the dates listed when people got their money back?

Chris doesn't have to prove where the money is coming from - delivering pizzas, his uncle in Amsterdam...I don't care. I DO want to know that it is ACTIVE and CURRENT and this paypal thing is producing recent results - people being paid back with actual transactions and not an "ongoing process".

We should be able to check / cross people off the list. That type of thing.

Since I don't have a loss and am not a victim here....I have no opinion on the sale of his frogs. At one point I knew where they were being kept temporarily and asked one guy that was owed money if he wanted the frogs "taken into custody" and I could have arranged that, but that particular person that was owed money, declined this.

There is not much more I can do here folks. I'm already doing MUCH more than other forums. I can't pound the pavement asking for email addys and phone numbers on that list and beg them to sign on to my forum so I can work to get them their money back for them.

Chris is here...he's answering questions and promising refunds. He's getting his one shot from me to move forward and I'm sure he recognizes it.

If I was John Clare....I would be sure to post on this forum and get involved in $$ back or perhaps publically ask for some of the frogs Chris owns, but I do not think we should be demanding and brokering his deal if he can't even come over here after I've done the heavy lifting and set this much up.

Might I interject as an attorney? I really don't know what this is all about with Chris, and it is none of my business. Just want to offer a mechanism that could work. If Chris is willing to liquidate whatever to generate funds to pay creditors, then I suggest that (1) a list of creditors and amounts be established and (2) an escrow account for the deposit of monies be set up (or use an existing escrow account with any law firm). Release no monies unless or until Chris indicates, "That's all folks. No more money coming." At that point, if there is enough escrowed monies to pay everybody, simple. If not, either pay so much on the dollar based on what IS generated (fairer) or establish a priority of debtors and pay in that manner (first owed, first paid). The former is fairer because (1) everybody gets a little something rather than just a select few collecting and (2) people owed money are general unsecured creditors normally not entitled to a priority. Just my two cents. Ed
