No I was absolutely in the right place, all I did was tap Reply when I read her post so that's not possible, and on top of that, I'm not digging up stuff from '04 on there.

I was just typing out a reply and have had the whole thing just disappear before I got to post it. It has happened a couple times. Is there a time limit to replying? I was on the regular post reply not the quick reply.

I've never heard anything like that reported, Dan. If it 'disappeared" AFTER you hit the post 'button' , then I know what happened but if it just disappeared on it's own, then I'd suspect something really weird on your end / computer.

hmm, I hadn't hit the submit button yet I was still typing it. I do have an air card and out in the country and reception is not always the best. Must have something to do with that??? I will maybe start with saving it as a draft and see if that helps.

yeah, any long post...ALWAYS 'left click / Highlight / Copy.....always.

Disappearing without hitting 'Submit" absolutely sounds like something connectivity-wise and nothing I can think is associated with this forum. Weird though.

I think I figured my issues out with the site which were many. I also got logged off if I am not constantly moving through the site. I couldn't go back with history when I did a site search and the getting logged off while typing a post so the whole thing gets lost. Internet Explorer was the problem, so I am using google chrome and it seems to be working like it should now. :D

Yeah, Google browsers work much better than Microsoft (Internet Explorer).

Even a stopped clock works better than Internet Explorer; at least it gets the right result twice a day :-)

I have posts disappear from time to time.

It's so weird because I will post something completely appropriate and not offensive in any way and all of a sudden it's gone.

Phil,
You have any idea why that is ?

hmmm...the last post that had a couple 'F Bombs' in it ? We installed some new software that may have snapped that post up.

Along with the 'Nipple-ator' software that cost young Ms.Cates her avatar...

Nipple-ator software needs an upgrade it didn't catch the nipples (utters) that I currently have as an avatar.

It's possible that the "all regions" checking is not enabled...
