I don't think people are going to run out. From what I understand there is a machine making these lids but only 1. The problem is the demand has outrun what the machine can produce. The some people solved the problem by sourcing the perforated lids. But the fabric lids are not being phased out, they just may command a small price premium. What this might suggest is that dart frog keeping or other fruit fly eating animals are becoming more popular.

I've picked them up from both NEHerp and Dendrobati in the past month. Both are reasonably priced.

Fabri -cote lids are what you want. NOT the 'micro holes' / little tiny holed lids that mites can easily pass through.
