Silicone dry time ?

Postby _ld99 » Thu Oct 01, 2015 3:25 pm

So i siliconed my great stuff background on sunday. Its now thursday. I was just wondering what is the normal time for it to dry. It said 1 day to cure but it also said 7 days to cure for the most strength. This is the aquarium safe silicone from joshs frogs. Im pretry sure the brand is asi. Is it probably ok to add my frogs now?

Cure time varies with temperature, humidity and amount of product.

I sometimes use a small fan directed on the background to speed things up.

As long as there is no strong smell. No tacky-ness ect, you should be ok. I would further plant and seed it with isopods and springtails ect and just give it another week or so to be sure.
