Good stuff Michael ! I love me some shrimps. You're the first 'allergic to the hobby', person I know. FF and related stuff is what really caused it, right ?

I'm allergic to mites and all kinds of different weeds and plants. I think ferns and mold were the biggest culprits.

These vivariums are perfectly designed. If you are new, THIS is what you want to shoot for. Lush green carpet moss all over the ground? Do you see any of it here? Nope. The reason is, moss is wrong as a substrate. Huge cascading waterfalls and streams?? See any here? Nope again. Don't know what 'leaf litter' is and how it works? Do you see any in the tanks above? Yep. You do, because these tanks are damn near optimal. Copy their size, model and design. Copy the plant growth.

Try to forget about waterfalls and carpets of moss, please and learn from the advanced guys.
