I knew of at least 2 keepers of Dwarf Cobalts in the Shillington, Philly area circa 2007-2008.

Re: French Guiana Dwarf Cobalts keepers?
Well, this seems to be a lifelong endeavor. Things are slow.
I think these require a higher temperatures than I have been giving them. I have put a heat source under the adult's tanks and now have good eggs from two unrelated pairs. Currently, I have two "lines" and my pairs consist of a male and female from each.
I recently split out some of the growouts into "pairs" to see if I can begin to sex them out. I will hopefully be able to offer a proven pair or two in the near future. There are still some froglets in the growouts, a tadpole in the water and a new rush of fertile eggs. So things are looking up.
I am beginning to think that temperature has been slowing down all aspects of this project. Eggs have fertility issues, tadpoles are weak, froglets are small and grow slowly. I am hoping that all of these things can be improved by increasing the temps a bit. We'll see.
Anyone else keep these?? I am always looking for others to trade with. (Wild caught need not apply.)

Interesting observation on temperature. What is the optimal temperature range you are targeting? Are you simulating seasonal temperature changes or just increasing a year round temp?
I hope you find additional keepers out there. Looking forward to seeing you offer those pairs.

Chris, your basement frog room is pretty cool - low temp, correct?

Re: French Guiana Dwarf Cobalts keepers?
My New England basement runs on the cool side year round. I thought that it would be warmer; I will need to insulate the walls at some point. It is stable, but stable on the cool side.
I think that high seventies to low 80s would be worth doing. They tend to do better in the spring, when the natural temperature increase occurs. I am looking into radiant heaters to install in some tanks. I might warm up one pair and see if it help.
Just think of the thermal gradient you could achieve in a 10 foot long tank. The frogs would tell us where they like to be.

A basement cool frog room is mainly considered a blessing. There are Florida people who would kill for a nice basement.

Florida people? If we dug a basement, we'd call it a jacuzzi.
