Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

That's funny, exactly what USPS asked. I told them to try to read the big letters (not big words) on the sides (all) of the box........

Best I can guess is that they figured "fragile" was french for STOMP.

HAHAHA! Now THAT was funny.

That box looks HORRID. I'm gonna show those pictures to someone at the local post office and pitch a fit just b/c I can. In no way should someones box arrive like that when it left like this...

Thats not even my tape!

Rich,

Would you mind if I posted those pictures on another forum?? I need to vent about this. I'm overwhelmed with anger right now. I can't even type.

Be my guest Antone. You should have seen me at the PO. I went home, took pics, and came back to the PO at 5:04.
They almost didn't let me in.....almost.

All due respect...but I don't think usps is entirely to blame.
You cant really expect a plain cardboard box to hold up very well when it is merely stuffed full of plants which are built (like other living things) mostly of water.
Is that pic of the open box how they were packed? If so, I'd say the packaging was just as poor (or poorer) as the carrier service.
Also, those of you who think carriers pay any attention to "fragile", "rush", "keep warm", or "this end up" marked on the boxes are only wasting marker ink.
Just my $0.02

They took one look at my face and the condition of the box and it really was not an option for them.
Conversation went a bit like this....

PM.... " What can I help you with?"
Me.... "Take a WILD guess."
PM.... "What is in the box"
Me ....." Not having opened the box yet, and reading the sides of the box, I am guessing fragile live plants."
PM.... "Well it looks like it was packaged wrong, what kind of plants were in there?"
Me.... " Honestly, what does it matter what kind of plants are in there? Where are your Brom packing instructions? Can we look up Brom packing tips on your website? They were FRAGILE LIVE PLANTS"
PM ...."Sorry , they seem to be packed wrong" Keys in hand to shooo me back out the door.....

There is a tad more I am going to leave out, but the above is pretty much verbatim of what happened.

Writting "Fragile" on a box is like drawing a big bullseye on it.

I've shipped broms many times and NEVER had a box arrive like that. Then again, never had one that big so maybe that didn't help. I'm gonna have to start putting styrofoam walls on the inside of them or something. Goodness thats ridiculous.

you know, it really does not matter what was in that box, it should not look like that when arriving at your door step, no matter what. i have had similar experiences before that make me waaaaay too angry to list, but the condition of that box is simply bad business. It speaks of an apathetic work morale and is obviously tolerated by the employees and superiors of the workplace.
wow, all i know is, if i did something of equal measure at my job, i would surely be fired b/c it would be a very expensive mistake.

so Rich, how much did you pay in shipping for this rate of service?
Free would not be sufficient as far as i am concerned... . i hope you had insurance. best luck.

Try to read "FRAGILE" that was clearly written on the two side of the box in the pic.......

Rich I'm so sorry you had to get a box like that from me. I feel guilty. Uhhhhgg... What if it were something sensitive like a shipment of frogs?? Uhhgg...

Why should USPS give one hoot about you or your package? They have a govt. enforced monopoly and are almost completely unfirable. Would you give a hoot about the customer if nothing you did to them would cost you any money or your job? I think the Post Office should be disbanded all of the employees given pink slips and let UPS, FedEX, DHL etc... compete for your business.

Oh, and as a side note, while no package should see that sort of damage, it was definitely inadequately packaged, there is no way that without structural reinforcement (like contents that fill the package completely) that a box that size would not see some damage.
