I use only RO for Tads ...no issues, only thing I add to the water is a bit of an Indian almond leaf

That almond leaf may just be saving your eggs / tadpoles Tony. Only RO / Distilled water with nothing added would be damaging.Treated tap water including chlorine has been used by many breeders with no ill effects on frogs and larvae....now FISH....whole different scenario. Chlorine def hurts and kills fish.
