Lost 50lbs last fall looking to loose another 20 this spring. I have a thing for asian women and I am currently trying to learn Mandarin and Japanese. BTW Japanese is soooo much harder than Chinese. My wife on the other hand is fluent in American signlanguage.
Yeah Japanese is definitely a bitch, I had the advantage of lots of Japanese gf's and studying Japanese martial arts though

I think first names are important and fairly safe to use. I would never begrudge someone if they elected to not use a LAST name. That's understandable.
The first name stuff goes a long way with proving you are a nice, well adjusted human - friends are a little easier to make that way, too.
I personally don't include my first name in my signature or in every post, but I like to throw it out there every once in a while so that they frequent visitors and serious members catch it. Just how I do...

Hi, my name is JIm. I am new to the hobby, thought this would be something my stepson and I could get into together. I purchased a bumblebee dartfrog and made a diy tank out of an old 20 gallon tank we had laying around. I have learned alot in just the 2 nights of joining this forum. My goal in joining this forum is to find hopefully some other dartfroggers close to us in northeast Pa. I just want to give a hats off to the people here in this forum, you folks are awesome for shareing you knowledge and know how. Thanks for letting me join.

Welcome Jim ! Don't be shy....if you don't see a thread dealing with something you don't understand, feel free to post !
Scranton is an excellent area for fellow froggers. There are tons of NY / Jersey people closeby as well as the Hamburg PA Reptile show and the White plains NY Reptile show.

Hi there, my name is Alex Nemec from Southern New Jersey, and I've been interested in herping since I was a kid, yet the hobby didn't become a passion until 2007-ish....
Unfortunately, since the end of '09, I've been suffering from unexplained neuropathy(numbness) in my lower extremities(thus sidelined) and am still bouncing around from doctor to doctor because no one knows what is going on with me, neither a diagnosis be given nor a treatment administered. I had a muscle and nerve biopsy a few months back as one of the latest ventures, to seek enlightenment in my medical condition. Next up is down to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. And while things -- pain, numbness -- fluctuate, I've certainly learned the value of a good support system during these trying times...
Thank goodness I still have my BABIES here to bring peace of mind to my life, at thirty five years of age...and what can I say -- I REALLY do add a sense of style with this CANE o' mine....
Alex.

Hi- I just joined this site and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Deirdre and I live in northern West Virginia. I'm retired from the Army and have had reptiles (mostly corn, rat and milk snakes) for many years but this is my first experience with frogs. I'm looking forward to learning lots about these little guys

Welcome to Dart Den Deirdre - hey...three D's.....
After a tank of a few frogs....you'll fall in love with them. Easy to keep and feed. Easier than most reptiles.

And I won't have a freezer full of pinkies and hoppers. I just got my first frogs today, citronella tincs. They're hanging out in their quarantine sweater boxes and I'm trying to resist gawking at them. They really have a tremendous amount of charm. I can't wait until they're out in the vivarium.

I figure after lurking here for 9 months I should introduce myself. My name is Amy, I'm a labor and delivery nurse, married with a 4 year old son. I now have 2 pairs of darts and plan to get a couple more. My husband made me make a list of my top 5 darts in hopes of keeping things under control. We somewhat stumbled into frogs, I was thinking of setting up a saltwater tank, I hate cleaning them, and came across info on the Internet about dart frogs, did my research an got them instead. Very glad we did, we are having a lot of fun with them.

G'day everyone! I'm Jake, I'm from Australia, but currently I'm atoning for my sins by living in New York City (Brooklyn)
I'm a personal trainer, certified by the National Personal Training Institute. Married, one beautiful baby girl, a few dart frogs, snakes, and a fascination with the natural world.
I've been exploring the forum for a few months, been on Dendroboard for a couple years now, but decided to pop over and join the fun here.
