Hello, my name is Daniel and I am looking to start into the hobby. Im looking to find someone relatively close that I can talk to and get my first dart frog from.
Id like to find someone with something in the Dendrobates tinctorius line.
I live in eastern TN up next to the NC state line. In between the Tri-Cities and Asheville areas.
Thank you for your time in reading this.

Hello everyone. As the title says I could use a bit of help setting up my new dart frog enclosure. Actually I dont even have any if it yet but I have started ordering and like to have a plan before I start. What I am wanting to do is a small 12"×12"×24" (or something like that) enclosure for just one dart frog. What I'm looking at is a biobubble/wonder bubble with 12" clear extender.
The frog I'm looking at is a cobalt I think. Thats what the pet store said they are anyway. They are black yellow and blue with the blue being on the leggs and underbelly mostly. The rest looks like black spots on a yellow background.
What I have ordered so far is some: false bottom, ABG mix, long fiber sphagnum moss, and leaf litter.
I'm also thinking of using either natural or artificial wood to attach air plants to and provide climbing structure in the enclosure.
I've also considered using a small water fountain in the enclosure as I will not have a depressed pool into the water reservoir in the bottom.
So my first question is what is your thoughts on this?
My second question is. What are some smaller plants I could add to this enclosure that would be both suitable to the frog and the anesthetics of the enclosure?
Third question is if this does not sound viable at all can you give me some alternatives to the setup?
I need something small and I am not interested in breeding. I just want a cool little pet I can take care of for the life span of the frog. So hopefully 10-15 years.
Also I am wanting it to be small and attractive from multiple angles of viewing. Suitable for an end table or similar place so that I and guest and enjoy the enclosure and it's inhabitant.
Thank you for your time thought and consideration.

This is may not be right section for this ..so feel fee to move. I have just heard about this crazy attempt at new regulations in Las Vegas. However it sounds like if you live in the area and own any type of animal .. it is time to voice your opinion, the link below will show you how and the sooner the better!
From USARK:
"THIS IS AN ACTION ALERT FOR ALL CLARK COUNTY AND LAS VEGAS EXOTIC ANIMAL OWNERS.
Clark County is in the process of drafting and attempting to implement new animal regulations again. And this time it's a real doozy. They want to ban the captive breeding of ALL ANIMALS that are not dogs and cats. This will include all reptiles, amphibians, all fish, all birds and all small mammals such as sugar gliders, rabbits, chinchillas, and all rodents (hamsters, rats, mice). The regulation says ALL ANIMALS. This may or may not include INVERTEBRATES, depending on how the county defines animals. That would mean NO tarantulas, roaches, or crickets.
THIS IS AN ACTION ALERT FOR ALL CLARK COUNTY AND LAS VEGAS EXOTIC ANIMAL OWNERS."

| Help me find a plastic box-like cover, lid |

I am happy to use the 'large' size critter Carriers for grow outs, temporary tanks and quarantine enclosures but am in need of a proper lid. Not wanting to risk saran wrap or other ad hoc plastics ect.
Anyone have ideas here...I was thinking of finding a clear plastic box bottom, or lid that will fit nicely over the top existing lid of the critter Carriers. The goal here is to prevent humidity loss and allow for possible stacking.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
